Product Description
Just like the famous Sophie the giraffe , this toy is made in natural rubber (phthalate-free) and baby can chew it in complete safety. Easy to grasp and to grip. This toy includes a squeaker sound. What is Chan Pie Gnon? In French it is a play on words: "Chan Pie Gnon" comes from the word "Champignon" and means "Mushroom" Chan (blue) is the big brother, Pie (pink) is the sister and Gnon (yellow) is the little one.

5 out of 5 stars We have a winner!   March 7, 2009

My daughter was born blind and has a strong tactile defense when it comes to exploring new items with her hands. She has never shown any interest in pacifiers or teething toys of various types no matter how hard we've tried. She'd rather chew on her bottle nipple or sippy cup spout. She's teething really bad right now and has been in constant pain as several teeth are erupting back to back so I decided to give the yellow Chan Pie Gnon a try.

First off, HomeGreenSolutions processed and shipped the item very fast and I received it 2 days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. I took the toy out and recognized the familiar natural rubber feel and smell. I washed it as my daughter was playing in her crib and she immediately started responding to the squeaking sound as I was handling it. I brought it to her and introduced it by making a few squeaks and then gently put her hands on it so she could feel it. I then helped her to squeeze it. She was excited so I helped her to place the loop in her mouth. She started chewing it and flashed a huge grin. As I type this I can hear her in her crib playing with the chew toy and making it squeek. Finally, a chew toy that she likes! I couldn't be happier.

5 out of 5 stars Great Teether! Softer than Sophie   February 21, 2010

This is a great little teether.

We have this and Sophie the giraffe, and our son loves both.

This one is made of thinner/softer rubber than Sophie, and is a simpler shape, so it's easier for him to get a nice big hunk in his mouth and bear down when his gums are hurting.

I also like the handle on the head of the yellow one. It is very easy for my 5.5 month old to grasp and play with. The small loop handle also makes it simple to attach the toy to the stroller or carrier we're using with a pacifier clip, so that it's not dropped/lost.

He honestly plays with both Sophie and this about the same amount, so I'm happy that we bought both.

*Tip: The prices for Vulli products fluctuate wildly on Amazon, so put them in your shopping cart and track them for a week or two to nab it at a low price. Once it's in your shopping cart Amazon will automatically alert you of new pricing on the product.

This teether is easier for my 5 month old daughter to get in her mouth than Sophie la girafe. She loved it at first sight and enjoyed rubbing the handle (?) at the top against her gums. A little odd-looking, all right, but it sure makes baby happy.

5 out of 5 stars Great teether, fun toy!   June 7, 2010

I was unsure about purchasing this due to the price. My friend raved about Sophie the Giraffe and so I bought both after her recommendation and reading reviews online. My 6th month old son is teething and needs to always be chewing on something. He likes Sophie, but loves this guy better. It took him a little while to figure out how to grasp it, but once he did it has been hard to get it out of his hands and mouth. This one is squishier than Sophie and so I think, more gentle on his gums. When my son sees this teether he gets very excited, smiles and can not wait to get his hands on it. This is A MUST teether to have, the price is worth it.

5 out of 5 stars A Great Teether!   August 30, 2008

This toy is a great natural alternative to plastic teethers. My son loves to chew on it. It is easy for him to make it squeak, which always makes him smile.
