5 out of 5 stars More than satisfied   May 13, 2010

We've had this for just shy of a month now and so far we are very pleased with the system.

Our primary concern was that we wanted to be able to keep an eye on our little one while being sure that the system was secure and wouldn't be picked up by anyone close by with a similar unit. The Summer Infant Sleek and Secure provides great video (we have our cameras within 5 ft of our baby, so even the night vision is great) and each camera is paired to the base monitor creating a secure connection that can't be intercepted by other devices.

And since we live in a very densely populated city neighborhood on a block with nothing but large apartment buildings, we were worried about interference from phones or other electronics. So far we haven't had any issues, either with our own phones and electronics or any from neighboring apartments.

Talk button feature is nice as is the "kick stand" bar that folds out from the back and lets you prop it up on a table. Only minor complaint is that we wish there were a way to leave the video on when running on battery (when unplugged, the video only stays on for a couple of mins at a time when you press either the video on/off button or the main power button).

5 out of 5 stars Great monitor   July 1, 2010

This baby monitor is very cool! You can track up to 4 cameras with one monitor. It's very easy to use. The picture and sound quality are very good. The battery life might be a little short if you are using full visual and a high audio setting, but this hasn't really been a problem for us because most of the time we keep it plugged in. The range is good, so we can go out into the yard and still keep an eye on the little ones inside. It has a handy clip for hands-free use.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME!   September 9, 2010

We have an 18 month old and currently use the Summer Night and Day monitor and love it! I am expecting in November so we were on the look out for a good multi camera system. After reading reviews this was the third system we tried. I have only used it one night and I can tell you compared to the other multi camera systems out there this one is heaven. Very easy to use, good audio pick-up, easy to turn screen off, auto scanning between cameras, no horrible ring of red lights on the camera in night vision mode. We are super happy with it and are thinking of getting an extra camera so we can also use it to monitor our playroom too.

I had purchased and returned several different monitors before this one because each one had a flaw I couldn't live with. This was the first monitor I could find that had the capacity for muliple cameras and didn't automatically go into the "sleep" mode (essentially turning off until it hears a loud sound. I hated that!) I like the autoscan mode that goes between cameras every few seconds the best. The sounds stays on the entire time and is very sensitive. This is exactly what I wanted as I like to hear my children breathing. The color and picture quality is not the best, but that's okay with me... I can still see the kids just fine. Also, the screen is a little small, so when it splits into 4 boxes for the multi-view mode, the boxes are only about an inch in size. And maybe my husband and I just can't figure it out, but the sound seems to turn off in multi-view mode too. So there is a little room for improvement, but overall, I am extremely happy with this product and would definately recommend it to anyone who wants to use multiple cameras with their video monitor.

I didn't buy my monitor thru Amazon, but thought my review of the product would help others.

I've been a big fan of Summer Infant's video monitors since my 1st son was born over 4 years ago. A couple of years ago, I submitted a comment to Summer asking for a monitor that could pick up more than two video feeds... well, it looks like submitting comments actually pays off! The Sleek and Secure monitors that I just received (from a different vender# are great! They aren't perfect #night vision could still be a little better - it's a little grainy and a little washed out, and the sound is not true - it's digital and I'm used to the older Summer monitors#, but I must say I love the fact it can see up to 4 video feeds, is smaller and lighter than the older monitors, and has the intercom button, so I can tell my 4 year old to get back into bed without having to walk up the stairs a billion times. I just purchased another set so I can have 4 video feeds in the house #2 bedrooms, playroom, and bathroom - yes, my 4 yr old likes to play in there and stall after bedtime#. I noticed that many reviews of the Slim and Secure #the version that came out before this one) noted issues with the digital signal interfering with their wireless modems and cordless phones. I, thus far, have not had an issue. I'm very happy!! :)
